Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week we got to pick something related to covers. The fifth Wyrd and Wonder event is coming up in May (the theme is wood) so I’ve been thinking about fantasies set in the forest. I was also thinking about how there are a bunch of thrillers with branches on the cover but what about fantasies? And there are a bunch.
Thornwood by Leah Cypess, I read recently.
Witchmark by C. L. Polk, Written in Red by Anne Bishop, The Bone Doll’s Twin by Lynn Flewelling, and A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer are first books in a series.

Wow, I never thought about it before, but you’re right! It’s especially prevalent in fantasy, I think. Here’s my list: https://franlaniado.wordpress.com/2022/04/26/top-ten-tuesday-book-covers-got-back/

I love reading any books set in forests, but fantasies set there are even more spectacular. 😉
