A Vow so Bold and Deadly
3rd in the Cursebreakers series
by Brigid Kemmerer
Bloomsbury, 2021
YA Fantasy
Summary: I’ll try not to spoil this book but I’ll probably spoil the previous two. Rhen and Grey are preparing for war against each other. Lia Mara is trying to rule her people but she refuses to do it like her mother did before her.
Likes: There is a lot of romantic love in here, angsty and fun. But that’s not the only kind of love that’s important. Sibling love is integral too. I also like that the political situations in both places remain complicated. Solutions aren’t easy for anyone and the challenges help the characters change and grow.
Dislikes: There are some good scenes with Harper but she doesn’t get to play as big of a role as I wanted.
Overall I like the ending. This series wrecked me and I love it.
