Chasing Lucky

by Jenn Bennett

Simon Pulse, 2020

YA Contemporary Romance

Summary: Josie comes back to Beauty with her mom and she just wants to get through senior year and then leave for California. The trouble is, she hasn’t told her mom her plan and she’s reconnecting with her childhood friend, Lucky.

Likes: The romance had a rocky start but it became super cute and I enjoyed watching that unfurl. This was also about three generations of women being bad at communication and them failing but eventually attempting to work things through.

Dislikes: Evie’s toxic relationship with Adrian and then blaming the family curse for her bad decisions.

Overall I enjoyed this one. I’m sad I had to wait for it and it probably would have fit better in the spring because it took place in the summer but I’m still glad I read it when I got it.
