I saw this one on Zezee with Books.

Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

Most of the time I sit in my desk chair but if I can I will sit on my mom’s bed with her pillows or the love seat in the living room.

Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/certain amount of pages?

When scheduling my reading I divide it by chapters regardless of how inconsistent the length. If I have a choice I’d rather end a reading session at the end of a chapter.

Bookmark or random piece of paper?

A bookmark. Part of my “starting a book ritual” is picking out a bookmark.

Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?

I can do TV or movie but I’ll be slower. I prefer listening to music. Instrumental or albums I’m super familiar with.

Do you eat or drink while reading?

I’m consistently drinking something throughout the day: tea, latte, water. I will also read while eating breakfast and lunch.

Reading at home or everywhere?

I can read anywhere but I like doing it at home because that is the most familiar setting and I have seating options.

One book at a time or several at once?

Several at once.

Reading out loud or silently in your head?

Silently, it’s faster for me.

Do you read ahead or skip pages?

Not really. I think I read fast enough that I don’t need to get ahead of myself.

Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?

If I own the book then I don’t care but if it is the library’s or someone else’s then I try to keep it in the same condition I got it in.

Do you write in your books?

Not since I graduated college. I mostly write in my main journal or reading journal. I will highlight sometimes.
