Top Ten Tuesday: Nonfiction Books I Don’t Talk About Often

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week the theme is about books we like but rarely talk about. I decided to go with nonfiction because I don’t read a ton of it regularly.

Funny in Farsi: A Memoir of Growing Up Iranian in America by Firoozeh Dumas

Smoke Gets in Your Eyes and Other Lessons from the Crematory by Caitlin Doughty

The Hinges of History series by Thomas Cahill (first book: How the Irish Saved Civilization: The Untold Story of Ireland’s Heroic Role from the Fall of Rome to the Rise of Medieval Europe)

The Nothing That Is: A Natural History of Zero by Robert Kaplan

In Other Words by Jhumpa Lahiri (This is Lahiri’s thoughts on living in Italy with her family in Italian on one side and an English translation on the other.)

One Hundred and One Beautiful Towns in Italy: Food and Wine by Paolo Cazzarin

The Physics of Star Trek by Lawrence M. Krauss
