autumn 1

I’m trying really hard not to commit to anything yet because while we are approaching 2020 we aren’t there yet. End of December is when I’ll be committing to stuff for 2020. (After furiously trying to finish out 2019.)

But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scoping out 2020 reading challenges (my main source is’s post). I’ve also printed out the Popsugar one and have been looking that over. The advanced section is a little intimidating this year because it focuses on ’20’ (i.e. a book set in Japan, host of the 2020 Olympics; a book with more than 20 letters in the title). I’m also looking at the Monthly Motif and Monthly Keyword plus Mount TBR. I prioritize reading books from the library (and probably will forever) but my shelves are starting to sag from the weight of books people have kindly gifted to me for my birthday, other holidays, or just because. And I’m worried that the bookcase will break if I don’t do something about it soon. (I did break my previous bookcase because I had too much heavy stuff on it.)

Are you thinking about reading goals for 2020?
