I did a post about some of my bookmarks this week. One of the benefits of working at the library is that I get first pick of the bookmarks before they are set out for the public. Also I picked up a few of them at my college library.
Tome Topple began last week and I’ve been reading The Missing of Clairdelune by Christelle Dabos (2nd book in the series). It’s the only one in my currently reading pile that counts. I’m still reading Home by Julie Andrews and Understanding Comics by Scott McCloud. Understanding Comics is in graphic novel format but it is dense with information. Fascinating and thought-provoking but I’ve had to slow down my reading to really comprehend and absorb everything. I may even have to reread it to absorb everything.
And I got The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern from the library this week. I’m trying not to read anything about it until I’m done reading. But I’m reading it slowly. I’m savoring it, like rich mousse cake. But I’m also sure it isn’t presented strictly in chronological order. So I feel like I have to pay more attention to every detail, just in case.
What are you reading this weekend?
