Friday Reads: I’m So Behind!

October Challenge is not going well… I’ve read one book that counts. I made a decision not to actively participate in October readathons this year because I didn’t want the prompts to hold me back. Also, I’m working this weekend when the Dewey’s 24 hour readathon is happening. (Another factor is that readathons have gotten way more involved which I understand but it’s a little intimidating to sign-up for things and be on teams. I get anxious just casually scrolling through my social media because of all the challenges for points.)

But readathons sometimes make me read more. (Sometimes they do nothing. I’ve done multiple TBR posts filled with books this year for readathons that I didn’t read.) The challenge of reading seven books in a week or two would excite me.

So I’m continuing with The Mistress of the Art of Death and I’ll try to start reading the manga series Demon From Afar by Kaori Yuki and possibly rereading The Cain Saga and Godchild by the same creator.
