Summary: Jordan starts going to a new school with lots of rich kids because he’s smart and his parents want him to have options. What he really wants to do is go to art school. This book is about Jordan navigating his new school and friendship but also about other kids like him who have to deal with daily microaggressions and assumptions.
Likes: Jordan is such a cool kid. I loved reading from his perspective. This graphic novel is also hilarious. The societal commentary is sharp. I also liked the message that people can make new friends while also maintaining old friendships.
Dislikes: Characters would note that Liam wasn’t there (like at lunch) but I don’t think there was any follow-up about where he actually was?
Overall I want more from Jordan because he’s cool. I also want to know if Drew stays at the school. Does Jordan get into an art high school? I definitely recommend this one.
