Summary: Aventurine, a young dragon, decides to leave home because she’s bored. Unfortunately she bites off more than she can chew when she tries to eat a food mage.
Likes: The concept – dragons and chocolate – is fabulous and so well-executed. Aventurine is a unique and sassy protagonist. Also there’s chocolate and lots of it.
Dislikes: The ending was a little rushed, there was a lot of information and threads to be wrapped up in a slightly small number of pages.
Overall I both want and don’t want a sequel. This book stands solidly on its own but I do want more from these characters and their world. Plus I want more chocolate. I highly recommend this one.
The title alone is enough to make me want to read it. Chocolate and dragons? Yes, please!
