Summary: Lady “Poppy” Pyppenia’s father, the king, dies and she becomes a target for assassins as her uncle takes the throne. She and her Sleepless Knight, Cyrenic, have to figure out who’s trying to kill her while also navigating the changing dynamics of the new court.
Likes: The art is beautiful, in particular the color choices and saturation stands out. I also find the Sleepless Knight order really interesting in general. My favorite character is Poppy. She’s dynamic and sympathetic.
Dislike: The one character kissing the other character to get them to stop doing what they were doing. It didn’t stop her in the end but it was still kind of awkward. But it did show them they had feelings for each other, which is cool.
Overall I definitely want to continue the series. Besides everything above, it ended on a cliffhanger.
Content: Violence – Mild, there are a couple violent altercations with the assassins and in flashbacks of battles.
