Books in the Freezer Readathon was created by the ladies, Stephanie and Rachel, who have a podcast called Books in the Freezer together as well as individual channels on YouTube. This readathon runs from October 1st to the 14th.
There are five challenges:
- a horror book by a female author
- an anthology or short story collection
- Horror featuring POC or LGBTQIA+ main character or author
- has a movie adaptation
- has been recommended on the podcast
My choices:
- Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake
- The Merry Spinster by Mallory Ortberg
- Frankenstein in Baghdad by Ahmed Saadawi
- Goosebumps: Legend of the Lost Legend by R.L. Stine
- The Enchanted by Rene Denfeld
I’m so excited for October! And as per usual I will overwhelm myself with the multitude of readathons I hope will happen again this year. But this is where I will begin, I think.
