I’ve been seeing this tag on a few blogs recently but it was Priyasha at Books and Co. who tagged everybody!
Best Book you’ve read so far in 2018
These are a few of my favorites so far.
Best Sequel of 2018 so far
And as an added bonus I reread Soulless for the first time this year and I still loved it.
New Release I haven’t read yet but want to
Cross Fire is the sequel to Exo.
Most Anticipated Release of the second half of 2018
Ever since Hank Green, John Green’s brother, announced on their channel that he was getting a book published I knew I’d want it. This one is coming out in September.
Biggest Disappointment
Mostly because I loved Exo by the same author (here’s my review for Zeroboxer).
Biggest Surprise
I wasn’t sure I’d like this based on the premise (inspired by You’ve Got Mail) but I really liked it. Jenn Bennett is so good.
Favorite New Author
I don’t have one yet. Fonda Lee has one win and one loss as of now. I’m optimistic though.
Newest Fictional Crush
There was a demon lord, not named, in Night’s Sorceries (review for that book here) who was so delightfully vicious and, even though he didn’t really intend it, everything worked out for the character I was rooting for in the end.
Newest Favorite Character
Murderbot! So excited to read the next book. (Here’s my review for All Systems Red.)
Book that made you cry
Because it unexpectedly triggered me.
Book that made you happy
These are a few!
Favorite Book to Movie Adaptation you’ve seen this year
I’m such a movie-watching slacker. I haven’t seen any movies in the theater yet this year. I am fond of Seventh Son and Children of Dune.
Favorite review or post you’ve written this year
I’m fond of my Cardcaptor Sakura series discussion post. I like being able to go into things.
Most Beautiful Book you’ve bought or received so far this year
My dad bought me this one (and a llama journal) during our most recent trip to Barnes and Noble.
Books you need to read by the end of the year
This is the hardest question because I can barely commit to what I will be reading this summer. I have started working on my October Challenge prompts and premise with a tie-in to Inktober. I may decide in September that nothing I’m coming up with is actually practical but we’ll see.
I tag everybody who wants to do this tag! 😉
